Bluegill Spot?
#1
Trying to find a place near Lehi to take grandkids fishing for bluegill. Used to be a pond in Orem, but they drained it. Any suggestions?

I can only see two ponds in your area that contain bluegill.

The Manila Creek Park Pond
330 N 900 W
Pleasant Grove

The Salem Pond
300 S Main Street
Salem

I hope you can get your grandkids into some fish.[Smile]

Go south on 5 th west until you run into the North Lake Park, The east pond is usually stocked with bluegill and largemouth bass.

I have caught a small bluegill or two at the Manila Park Pond in PG as mentioned. They tend to hang out in the shallower areas in the NW part of the pond, and I caught them on a small piece of Berkley fake worms (chartrueuse IIRC) under a bobber on a size 10 hook.

If you're there anyway, it's almost impossible not to catch some planter rainbows by floating PowerBait up 12-18" off the bottom on a small size 10 hook with a Carolina rig.
