The troll-0-matic and the Happy Troller are two good, popular brands of trolling plates.

I use happy troller plates, and it works fine for me. I noticed that Happy Troller is manually by rope, while this Trollamatic plates seems to be going by (auto) springs... dunno if it works on a consistent basis (such as breakdowns) while my happy troller hasn't broken down so far. The same goes for my friend Jas who has the same thing on his boat.

[red] Hi Teroy , hey I used one of those on my old boat and it really does work. But you have to be careful because they bend very easy. But like I said they do work.[/red]

Yeah, you can borrow them....................for a price [Tongue] kidding.

Dont know when I can get out of the bomb dump during the day, you might have to swing by the house and grab them.

I am in the process of getting a boat, yes. Although I see willard is still pretty low. [Sad]

[red] Willard is still pretty low , but I don't have a problem launching there. Haha.(just kidding) I do think that it might be too low for you to launch something that big out there. If you PM me your address , I don't mind picking them up. Just say when.[/red]

I have a Troll-A-Matic and it works good. You do loose a little speed on the top end thougt. Haven't had any trouble backing up guess it depends on your prop size mines 14*1/2" wide so it stick out the side. Hope this helps.
