Yes it would sink. And it would probably slip like sled runners, unless you attached a short board, perpendicular to each end, for traction. I wouldn't want to be standing on a plank either, if the edge gave way. I would love to have a small flat bottomed aluminum boat to slip across those spots, but most places are too steep to want to deal with something like that. O-well, fish when we can, and wish when we can't.
