Looks like the Clearwater Jack only season lasted just 2 weeks. Survival over the next few dams after Bonneville was not what they hoped for unfortunately.
I'm hoping that the Salmon River fish are doing a little better but it is doubtful. I'm anxiously waiting to see what the deal is with that one later. I have a trip planned to Riggins the last weekend of June in anticipation for a chance at a few fish. I'd imagine the fish are still below the slide rapid, but should hopefully start their push upstream and be in Riggins that week.
Has anyone heard anything about the fishing on the salmon thus far? I can't imagine many fish are being hit with there only being 5 in the Rapid River hatchery.
At least from what it looks like, the Jack numbers are a lot better this year. Hopefully that bodes well for the future.
