Fishing was really pretty good at the confluence and in the Little Salmon. Main river was muddy very few caught in Mill hole none in post office and only a handful in boats and the park hole. Really doubt if season will remain open. Twelve days back only about 12 pit tags over Lower Granite and only a little over 600 as of Thursday in the hatchery. Pretty sure close to 800 will be caught which will put us close to the quota. A great year for jacks with a hundred being caught on most days at the confluence gravel bar and east side of the little river just above the Mill point. Fish were in decent shape skeins were still very small and very few large fish were being caught. Worry for me is getting enough to the hatchery as far as I know weir below Hell's Canyon not in use. Harvest report should be out soon and we will know the verdict.
