HESPERIA LAKE: Trout fishing has been good on Power Bait, mini-jigs, or inflated nightcrawlers. The Drain, Finger Point, and the first cove have been the most consistent areas. A few catfish are showing on shrimp or mackerel. There are trout plants each Tuesday and Friday. For more information, call (800) 521-6332 or (760) 244-5951.
JESS RANCH: Trout fishing has been fair to good for anglers fishing Power Bait or inflated nightcrawlers. The lake is stocked weekly on Fridays with fish to 9-0, although most fish are from 1-0 to 3-0. Royace Harris, Victorville, landed an 8-8 rainbow on Power Bait from Lake Two. Paul Wood, Apple Valley, took a 7-10 using Power Bait. Brian Pettyfer, Apple Valley, pulled in a 7-10 also on Power Bait. Matt Crase, Hesperia, landed a couple of nice catfish on trout guts. The fish weighed 10-0 and 9-8, and were landed by the inlet of Lake Two. For more information, call (760) 240-1107.
MOJAVE NARROWS: Good trout fishing with Power Bait or inflated nightcrawlers the best baits. There will be a county trout plant this week. For information, call (760) 245-2226.
