Perch: all eggs and no meat!

Whenever I teach anyone to fillet fish I tell them that they should expect to mutilate quite a few before the fillets start to look pretty and you can get all of the meat. I really believe that is how it goes. So just keep doing it and one day you will realize that you're pretty good at it. As for eating the perch eggs, oh man that sounds gross to me.
