It was cold and windy so we didn't stay long. Ice was about 2 to 2 1/2" thick. Still lots of open water. Someone told us they did well on minnows.
Fished Scofield on Tuesday. Fishing was super fast. Lots of ice so I took the side by side out.
How far from shore did ice extend that was 2 to 2 1/2" thick?
In case anyone is wondering, I am not interested in fishing on 2 1/2" of ice, but the ice should continue getting thicker until it at least reaches 3" thick (4" would be even better).
