This is who we vote for and what we get for doing that.
The legislature does not and never will work in the interests of the sportsman. Their interests are developers, ranchers and resource extractors.
This will pass, mark my words and we will live with it just as the law passed against sportsman in 2010 was negotiated behind closed doors, completely ignored the law negotiated by Laurie Faulk on behalf of sportsman and gave away hundreds of miles of "navigable" miles of rivers to private landowners along with all of the publicly owned fish in them.
I do see a flaw in this law as it is currently presented but I am sure they will change the language to suit their large donators wishes.
It is possible that this law violates federal laws, but chances of any action on that is a dream, once again because of who we vote for and the fact that they care nothing for Utah sportsman.
