Camping and fly fishing below Flaming Gorge
#3
I'll tell you what I know, which isn't much.

A section: There is a campsite called Dripping Springs, you get there by heading to Little Hole from Dutch John and it is accessable by car. The campsite was burned in the fire and they are in the process of rebuilding it. You can camp in it right now, but I'm not sure if there is water available yet or even if the bathrooms are open. Dripping Springs campsite is about 15 min from the resevoir. There is NO camping along the entire A section.

B section: I believe there is walk in camping along this whole stretch. I you do however, know that you need to take sanitary products in with you and carry it back out. I do know there is a campsite at the end of the B section. I do not remember the name of it. This site is accessable by car.

Your best bet is to call Trout Creek Flies in Dutch John, they will tell you everything you need to know.

I'm surprised people have warned you to stay away. I agree that there are ALOT of people that fish the river but hey, there is a good reason why. The majority of the fisherman fish the A section, even if you hike in several miles you will still find guys there. If you hike down the B section there is not near as many guys. Even when there are alot of guys there that river is so big you can still get a good section to yourself.
