TubeDude and I fished Redmond Reservoir and Yuba Reservoir today. Neither one of us had fished Redmond before. Started fishing Redmond about 8:20 AM and fished to around noon. TD got a few bites from his tube, but I couldn't even coax a nibble. Lots of duck hunters and some shooting. Met Ocean, Mrs Ocean and their family. We left there and headed to Yuba. Parked at the bottom of the ramp on the closed side of the ramp. I fished from the shore from my folding chair on the bottom of the ramp and TD went tubing again. We started fishing about 1:00 PM and almost immediately started catching fat rainbows. I should have taken some pictures of the males, they almost looked like Yellowstone cutts. Here are a couple of the female rainbows:

This was my hot lure:

We ended up catching 15 fat rainbows. No pike, so we will have to return again to catch some of them. To top it all off, Pat showed me how to fillet trout so that one ends up with boneless fillets!
