Cutting your own Christmas Tree ???

Who here goes out in the mountains and cuts there own Christmas tree? 2 years ago we went down by Salina and cut one and had a blast. This year we tried to get a permit in the Manti area and was not able to get one because they sold out. We are thinking about heading back down by Salina again on the Fishlake NF area and cutting a tree. Last time we cut one up Gooseberry area but I was wondering if anyone knows of a area that may be better or can suggest an area to look.
