I'd go with the fish finder, but stay away from the fishin buddy it only has a nine degree cone (which is really only good for icefishing). Most of the other fish finders have a 20 degree cone for the bottom and a 60 degree cone for finding fish. Tehse could be valuable on a pontoon boat or other boat. You can either buy another brand that is portable or make it portable yourself.
