I would definately go with the fish finder over the camera. But I would strongly encourage you to spend about $50 more and get a better finder. I used to have a fishing buddy and it was ok for ice fishing but not so good in the boat. I went with the Hummingbird 565 and I love it. I made it portable so I can use it on the ice or in the boat. It has 2 cones so you can see more area and it has a digital realtime which helps a ton. If your stricktly going for an ice fishing rig I would go with the vexilar. They cost more but they would be way better for the ice. There are better finders for the money, But as with everything the more bells and whistles the more they cost.
