Yesterday 12/22 we were trolling again on Deer Creek and did very well. Caught a couple nice browns and a lot of fat rainbows, some 18 to 20 inches long. Some of the bows were in spawning colors and when caught streamed milt. The weather was great. 47 degrees at 9:00 and in the 50s at 12:30 when we pulled out. The ice that was forming the week before was broken up and flooting around, had to keep and eye out for it. Some one put in in a pontune just before we left. A lot of people on the island and a school bus full of jr. high students from Kerns Jr. High hit the shore south of the ramp. They ssaid it was a field trip. If this weather keeps up we'll be trolling till spring. Oh how is the ice holding up at strawberry? I wanted to go this next week.
