Lincoln beach question.
#3
[cool][#0000ff]I was down last Friday (12/30) and the ice was breaking up...very thin where it still existed. There were some good open areas out in front of the launch area, but the launch area still had about two or three inches of rotten ice. (see pics)[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I am guessing that with the continued warm temps and the high south winds of last week that most of the LB area is clear. On Channel 2 news last night, the picture from the top of the mountain, looking down on the lake, looked like the whole Utah Lake was ice free.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The "secondary" launch spot, down past the L, was choked with windblown ice chunks. That may or may not have changed.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]As soon as I get rid of my cold, I plan to do some "exploricatin'" down there. Got a bunch of whites and a few early walleyes before the end of January last year, when the ice cap broke up.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The water level is already higher than it got during the runoff last summer, so it might be a high water year.[/#0000ff]
