[cool][#0000ff]Since I am "almost Mr. W" I'll take a shot at this one. My observation over the years is that one of the basic differences between smallies and largies is their preferred habitat. Smallies seem to like more open and rocky shoreline, while largies love the stickups, brush and weeds. You will find either in the others' zones, but that is a general difference.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Not many shallow weed beds in Jordanelle, but there are some dandy flooded trees and bush during high water. That's where the largies will be for spawning and later for feeding...until the water drops. Same for Pineview. In Mantua the largies have lots of "salad" to bury themselves in almost all year. Great for spawning, nursery and ambush cover. You could never deplete the bass from Mantua. Too much food and too much cover. They like that.[/#0000ff]
