A question for all you, specially TD, the fact that I am not lacking for room on my toon, looking at some of these others, we have kicked around the idea of strapping a long BIG pvc tube horizontally on the side of the toon, (9' in our case cause of FF thing) with an opening on the top, like a troft, with straps of course to keep the rods from falling out.
Lay the rods in the troft, out of the way from flinging line and room for motor, lunch box, etc. What do you think!
Other that line getting wrapped around each other, maybe some socks to slip over rods to prevent that, plus protect the rods.
