“Big Fish Bragging Rights”
One idea would be to have a trophy room for the Bigfish Tackle members of the Utah board. I was thinking to get this trophy room started, we could have a tournament. The tournament would be to set the records for the biggest gamefish of every species in Utah. We would of course have to set a minimum size to avoid multiple entries. The first person to catch a bigger fish than the minimum size set, has set the record. The record setter should get a hat or something and every time a new record is set, the new record holder gets a sticker. At the end of the tournament, the record holders get something cool. This could go for six or seven months until we establish a trophy room with some big fish. After the trophy room is established and the tournament is over , the competition could still go on and we would have some records to shoot for. I think a lot of anglers have always dreamed of having their name in the record books, here is our chance.
Some standard rules and thoughts
-Entries would have to have a picture with the Bigfish logo and a tape on the fish.
-Size would probably have to be judged by length only.
-Minimum size requirements would have to be established, (Ex. Brown Trout 22inches) to what the moderators see fit.
