Thanks for your input guys, I always like experimenting with fishing. I probably just suck at tying knots and that leads to an occasional lost fish. I also go very light on the leader and tippet for the fish I go after. Fish above a couple pounds and in fast water aren't really that hard to find in Utah and Wyoming most of the time if you know where to look. With 3x flourocarbon you're never going to breakoff in a milllion years on our trout but I'd say with clear water I'll hook into at least 2 or 3 times the fish with 6x but suffer a rare breakoff as the tradeoff. Just trying to tweak what I do to minimize the breakoffs but not forgetting the ultimate goal is to catch more fish. Flygoddess, I'll have to look into furled. By the way any luck finding out about that net you mentioned to me. If not or you just don't have time I can go back and look into ordering it off the website you gave.
