Proper handling of fish to be released

Great points by all. This is a very interesting discussion.

So lets talk about this side of it now. I have heard talk that larger bass should not be handled by the lower jaw alone. I'm guilty. I love to land them like this because of the paralyzing effect, but now I hear that it is very bad for them (they are at risk of breaking their jaws, thus making feeding impossible).

I think for smaller fish it is fine, but for bigger (4 pounds and up) it might be a good idea to add support under the belly??

Bassrods, you can surely add umput here. You have caught you fair share of lunkers....
