Actually, there are quite a few nice browns in that section of the river. I have pics from a single day when I caught four browns in a row all in the 18-22 inch range. I would be glad to PM you pics if you need to see them. It's not uncommon to catch a few 22-23 inchers up there in a single trip.
As for keeping the fish, who cares??? It's not your fish, it didn't bite your line and it never would have. So quit whining about it.
