I know leaky likes to fish mantua a bit for the bass. Now I was just trying to remind a guy to bring the camera fishing so when he latches on to one of those 5+ LMB he can get his pic and release the brute. I fish mantua quite a bit, and it has some awsome LMB fishing. it's a place where numbers are good but size not so good. I think this is due to harvest of bigger fish. I'm just trying to get the word out that small fish taste as good as big fish. Now i hardly fish the weber, and I'm sure it's not gonna go down in flames because of one nice brown being harvested. But do you ever here of 8+ lbs. browns getting caught from the weber? I really don't. One of my neighbors fishes it religously, and has caught some nice fish up to 5 lbs. Maybe those fish don't hit that trophy 8 lb mark because of harvest? A fish can't grow if its dead. Now wouldn't you rather catch and release more big fish and keep small fish to eat. Everybody seems to love how strawberry is fishing. You can't harvest much, but the fish are big and numerous.
