Here is a post by PBH that has a link to a study done about the affects of harvesting fish where it can actually produce bigger fish by reducing numbers in certain waters and in some instances
C & R can reduce the overall size of fish. Long reading but very informative. Your first post came across like you were trying to give him a guilt trip and that obviously doesn't work. That's why you're getting so much response.
