OK, I have finally purchased my supplies for the battery upgrade project. I varied off my previous post just a tad. I did purchase the Minn Kota MK210. I was really surprised how freaking heavy the unit is, but, it is what it is. Next, I purchased a Guest two way battery switch from Bass Pro. I got the charger from Walmart for 99.95. I saved 10 bucks on top of not having to pay shipping charges. Nextly, i'm taking some friendly advice and purchasing a marine battery from walmart and calling it a day. 79.95 is a damn good price for a battery that they'll replace, no questions asked, for 18 months. Either way, the battery might mysteriously "go bad" very close to the 18 month mark. LOL Then again, at that price, I may go ahead and purchase two and replace the old battery that is currently in place. A battery is always a good investment.
I plan to start the project this weekend. I'll take photo's as I go and upload them onto the internet for a step by step kinda deal. I think the rewireing thing I did like that turned out pretty good, this should be no different. Thanks for the advice and insights guys! You all saved me a lot of money. [cool]
