Size 16 hook
1 gold bead
Dirty Yellow Dubbing
Light Tan Dubbing
Copper Wire (thin)
Hare's ear
Olive thread.
2 White biots
Lead Wrap (optional)
Put the bead on the hook to the eye. If you are using lead, take 3-4 wraps and push it into the bead to secure it. Wrap back to the bend of the hook and tie in a small tuft of hare's ear for the tail. Tie in the copper wire. Lightly dub the dirty yellow tightly on the thread and wrap half way up the hook. This should be narrow and tight to the hook. Counter wrap the copper wire to segement. Tie off. Loosely dub the Light Tan and wrap up to the bead. This should be more buggy looking. Cross the white biots and tie with the tips pointing up (much like a prince nymph). Whip finish it off.
It is a quick tie and evidently looks like a PMD emerger. This fly does well on the South Fork of the Ogden as well
