Geeeeezze! TUBEDUDE! I guess I should quit fishing! Sorry for the question. I will just keep the minnow man in business then.[/quote]
[cool][#0000ff]Sorry if my response came off a bit harsh. But, it is always shocking to me to encounter so many anglers who are in possession of illegal fish...either by species, size or quantity...who have no clue as to what they are catching or what the regulations are.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]And, you have to admit, your question was just a teensy bit confrontational too...assuming that the poster was either inexperienced or ignorant of the identification of the minnows being harvested.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]My comments to you were just the result of some of the frustration I feel whenever anyone asks questions that are so easily answered in the FISHING GUIDE...but it is obvious that they have not even attempted to find the answer on their own.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]DWR invests countless hours and professional input to create their annual FISHING GUIDE (proclamation). Yeah, they do create some questions and misunderstandings with their choices of wordings, but for the most part they go overboard to simplify and explain all of the aspects of our sport and the regulations. Yet, many Utah anglers hit the waters every year without even reading the FISHING GUIDE. They just rely on what they think they know and what they hear from others...who are probably just as uninformed.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]In short, there is no excuse for unknowingly violating a law. And, if you are not sure, look it up and read all of the information about it. If you are still not sure, there are phone numbers to call and people to talk to for clarification. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Our board often serves as a place for fellow BFTers to discuss the fine points of the regulations and to gripe about the ones they don't like. And, we have DWR officers and other employees who monitor our boards to help keep tabs on what anglers think of the regs and their administration. Whenever we get passionate about something, we have the right to attend RAC meetings and make our voices heard.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Don't ever stop fishing. Just be sure you are doing so legally.[/#0000ff]
