My brother, my son and myself went to East Canyon and started at the long skinny arm on the West side. We had slow but occasional action there and then move to the state park side later in the day. We only caught four total but missed a lot of hits. They seem to just mouth the bait ( ice flies with wax worms). I caught a couple of nice fat rainbows and when I cleaned them they were full of some kind of baitfish that had the shape of a small panfish not long and slender like a minnow but more round. Does anyone know what kind of baaitfish is in East Canyon? Anyway we had a great day and saw three Bald Eagles, a cow elk a few mule deer including two bucks and a large cow moose. We took the dirt (snow) road from Jeremy Ranch to get there. I hope everyone had a great weekend, the burbot bash sure looked like fun. John R.
