Hi John,
Thanks for the report! I can't wait for the ice to come off so I can get my boat in there and start slaying the rainbows again. The small baitfish that you're referring to that you found in their stomachs might be smallmouth bass. Those rainbows will chow down on the little smallies with gusto! Take care, Fred K.
