Bob, thanks for the input. That's the way that I used to look at it but since hearing the reports of the recent inspections I started to wonder if I had just been lucky not to get a ticket so far. I must be getting paranoid.[:p]
Incidently, years ago I had a different boat. One day at Rockport I was given a courtesy inspection by the Volunteer Coast Guard (or some group like that) before launching. Even though my boat was a very old tub, it was the only boat they had passed that day. I thought it was ironic that my old clunker fared better than all the new fancy rigs. I got a big fancy sticker for it.
