Headed to Bryce Canyon, Any Advice?

So I headed down to Bryce Canyon area for the first and was looking to do some fishing. I am not really familar with the area so I was wondering if anyone had advice as to where to go and what to use? I have heard of a place called Otter Creek and Tropic that I was thinking about going too. Any advice as to what to use there? I will have a boat and float tube with me.
