I have a friend coming to visit from Vegas and he is bringing his 10 year old son who has never caught a fish.
He really wants his son to catch something and I was hoping to take him up into Logan canyon and let him try his hand at fly fishing. The kid has no experience and I am far from an expert but catch a few fish most days I go out. I have never fished the Logan up high but hear it is great.
My question is can I expect to have him catch a few fish. He is bringing his newly purchased spinning reel, but I know he and his dad would prefer to catch some fish on fly poles.
If I end up having to go to hardware do small spinners work up there or should I just take him somewhere else?
Thanks for any advice, I am sure I can figure out some dry fly stuff for myself but want to make sure this kid gets a few fish to hand.
