I had the cuda 300, To be honest you can't afford it. You pay about 100 dollars and what you get is a poke in the eye with a dull stick. Then after you get the poke in the eye they take the stick and shove it so far up your, well you get the picture. If you set your sights on a 1500 wat unit thsat runs about 200 dollars or less you should be fine. TD has a Humminbird 565 I think. He likes it a lot. I NOW have the Eagle 480 fishmark. I like it a whole bunch. I am going on record saying the 480 is a good vaslue at around 200 dollars. The cuda 300 is a total rip off at 90 dollars.
Now maybe the 242 is for some reason AWSOME. Well maybe. I would not hold my breath thinking they were going to work or that any of the cudas are worth anything at all. My vote don't buy a CUDA. If you do I have a cuda for sale, cheep. Ron
