Kid Friendly Uinta Hiking Spots
#2
As a father of 4 (youngest being 6), I've got to tell you that I suggest parking at Mirror and "hiking" around Mirror to find a secluded spot to fish. (That hits your 1 mile with next to no elevation gain right there.) That may very well be all the hiking they are up to. Them's some young-uns! And Mirror has so many kid friendly sitting spots, I think it would be hard to pass up. There are a lot of lakes you can hike to that have nowhere kid friendly to sit and fish.

I haven't been to Mirror in a few years, though. And if after you try that you really think they're up for a bit more, well then Mirror gives you lots of jump-off points for short hikes to other lakes.
