Ruth Lake is a good one. Just 1 mile from the trailhead. I took my (then) 2 year old daughter up there last year and she actually hiked all but the last 200 yards or so. Most of the trail is pretty level, we took the time to stop at all the interpretive signs which helped to keep our pace a little slower and her energy level up. We stayed long enough for her to have her usual nap and she was able to walk almost the whole way back. The hike was also easy enough that i was able to pack in a camp chair, along with all our fishing gear and plenty of snacks and drinks for the day. Just another suggestion. Have fun and be safe. Oh yeah, wherever you go, take rain poncho's just in case.
