There were several flies that the fish took. I ran into an older regular Saturday morning. He was kind enough to give me what he was catching them on, but, it didn't work for me, or he was right on top of a honey hole.
Type II sinking line has been the answer for me. With maybe a 4' 6lb fluorocarbon leader.
