Gotta love fishin' on an elk hunt. Did the same thing a couple years ago in the spirit lake area. Lot's of brookies in those murdock basin streams. Lot's of brookies almost everywhere really. I like to go after the cutties, they can be a real challenge and they get a little more size to them usually. BTW, echo lake in the murdock basin can sometimes give ya a golden trout or two.
