What you want to try is a keel, and you want to see IF it helps and HOW BIG it has to be. Then a keel configured like a kick up rudder like you see on kayaks would probably be best so your draft is not affected.

One thing that I need to fix somehow is- when going
in " hi speeds" with the oars the boat just kinda
goes all over the place. Add a little wind to it and
it gets kinda hard to control to go straight.
I was thinking about some kinda rudder. Anyone played
with rudder on a toon? Any ideas are very welcome.[]
