As far as the sins of fishing go I would say that dock fishing ranks pretty low on my list. However, I am not the author of the book on the sins of fishing.[]
That being said good points have been made about the safety factor with boats coming in and out. I have seen a couple of incidents where that has been a problem for both the dock fisherman and the boaters.
The other point is that it is against the rules at Henrys. I will not be the one to throw stones in this case.
I do think that the docks should be clear, but I have found good action in the past in perfectly legal places near the docks. I don't think those areas should be off limits they serve a purpose and are a great place to introduce kids and new fishman to the sport in a time and at a place where they can be successful.
