My previous time fishing the opener was a three ring circus, I still enjoyed it. But I also got to see people almost getting flies in there eyes, and dock fisherman and boaters arguing. It was a safety problem then. It wasn't when I was there and as stated before, I was one of the dock fisherman after the sheriff came by, even though I wasn't beforehand. I caught my largest trout fishing from shore, so I agree with windriver that there is good fishing shore.

I also agree with being safe and some of you have made very valid points (others, well your just angels [angelic]) but I don't think there was any safety issue at all while I was there. Doesn't mean there couldn't be bad things that happen if the wrong crowd was allowed to do this or if it was in the wrong situation. But some of you seem to over exaggerate things, but that's just your 2 cents and this is mine. So I will keep fishing from docks when the sheriffs says it is ok, and well, I guess some others won't.
