With not much mention of Sunset Park, I'll be the advocate since it's the only urban pond (besides bc) that I fish regularly
The best truth to your catfishing success as mentioned above is due (I would say 80%) to the amount of fish in the pond. Take into consideration that at Sunset alone there were 690 fish stocked with a 3 fish limit. Well, there are people fishing the pond day and night after the stock. All it takes is 290 people to fish a limit, then the place is empty!
I'll tell you from experience, Sunset and Boulder City are DEAD about 2 weeks after stock. For good measure, always plan to catfish the urban ponds within those two weeks otherwise the trip is just gonna be a sweaty sun tanning and bird watching sit haha
