Southern California Saltwater
Report for September 17, 2003 (Wednesday)
Way Up North- Avila and Monterey
Not much activity as anglers are few
Up North- Channel Islands
rockfish and red snapper are the main fish species caught.
LA Area- Catalina Island
A few yellows, bonito, barracuda, bass, halibut, and sheephead are being caught. Water temp between 69-70 degrees.
Further South- San Clemente
Fish are there but the bite insn't.
San Diego- Local and Offshore
Local not very good while offshore boats are doing well with 5 different species.
LA Local
In a simple word 'lousy' that is unless you like shallow water rock fish.
