My wife put a Fisheye fishing pole camera on our Amazon wishlist for my, just because it would be kinda fun, and her brother ended up getting it for me for Christmas. We weren't expecting much but it was fun yesterday. We dropped it down at Ryder park though the ice, could see the stones on the bottom, then used some fishing line to rig it sideways and would slowly turn it to see out to the sides. The picture was better than I thought it would be, but of course not great. Saw maybe 8 fish swim by during the 5-10 minutes we were actively looking at it, and never worked with it enough to actually point it towards my worm.
It looks like they used to be $100 last year but are down to $50 some places. Deffinitely not the best, but I thought I weigh in on it. I think I'd like to get a really nice one in the future too, but this will tide me over. At least I can stick it down and say "Yes, there are fish". I also want to try it at Blacktail, I set a big umbrella shaped boulder on my GPS while the water was low, That thing should be a fish magnet.
