Thanks for the info. Am wondering though how to test the ice for thickness. Like if I want check the area at the Pali
es dam, does one venture out and start poking holes further and further out? Does the ice thin out gradually or does it go suddenly from 12" to ice bath?
So far I have only fished where I see others have already been. figured that was safe until I get all figured out.
