It's called airing on the side of safety. I would really check your transom over for fatigue stress fractures. Is there a transom saver on your motor? The bouncing of the weight back there over time will fatigue your transom and could be an issue. BLFG is correct. I would make sure your within your boats peramiters for insurance purposes. Should be a fun little duck hunting machine.
