Receantly I began to stick earplugs in my ears especially when its just me in the boat,my max rpm is 8000 and its really getting up there.Remeber mine are aircooled "extra loud"and only have half a cowling for the engine.P.S.on a cellphone gps I hit 9.25mph I alone in a naked boat [
],0'but for the smoke,my boat running with the twins is fast enough to out run it[:p],plus with todays new oils its virtually smokeless.The twins help me warn the alligators,and in the bay the manatees.Its nice when you can combine "boating and fishing"
