Carp Fishing 101
#3
Dang, I typed a big ol' tutorial and lost it. here is a short version.

1. Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap size 1 or 2 (highly recomended)
2. Can of corn
3. Toss out small handfuls of corn and fish right on top off them
4. loosen drag so fish can (it will) run after picking up bait
5. Once fish is on, hold line so rod sets hook and tighten drag a bit (don't overtighten)
6. Carp will make multiple runs, especially as it gets close to shore
7. Play fish to wear it out as much as possible before attempting to land
8. Areas near Marinas tend to be good for carp (callville, hemenway)

Good luck
