Well, fished it yesterday to "check the safeness" of the ice. Fished at the state dock area for a couple hours, landed 7, 6 brooks and 1 cut. Saw quite a few more just didn't respond to jigging well. Biggest was a 21 inch brook. After looking at the weather I figured with a couple inches of rain to slushify the snow , the wind and more rain today to opt out, just didn't seem like a fun / safe way to start a marriage. Here's a shot of a couple brooks I took home to smoke. Had the most salmon colored meat I've ever seen.
