This time of the year, they are moving shallow to spawn, so fish in 8 to 30 ft of water, along a rocky shore line or point. Glow jigs and glow curly tail grubs with sucker meat, chub meat also works. Fish in the late afternoon and evening. They can be caught all night, which is the best time. Charge jigs every 10 to 15 min. Firehole is the first place that freezes in most year, so start there if you are planning on ice fishing, they can also be caught, fishing from a boat.
