I have ice fished Strawberry for countless hours over the years & only pulled one Koke through the ice. I was fishing the Soldier Creek side. If you encounter a school they are very aggressive. Usually I fish with something big as I generally target trout. When I saw the school of kokes, I had to quickly rig with something small before I hooked one. The school stayed around for about 5 minutes allowing me to re-rig. The school was down about 10 feet & I could see them through the hole. I was fishing in 60 feet of water.
If you want to target Kokes - I would go to Porcupine or Causey.
